When you wake up feeling old

As an image of Bob Dylan, this is not even remotely close. As a rending, it is quite good. You have done an excellent job, but it look nothing like Bob Dylan. It looks like an oriental woman in drag with an unlit cigarette in her mouth. Her expression matches the title. She looks to be a thirty something that just woke up from a major hangover and has realized that getting drunk isn't nearly as much fun as it was when she was in her twenties. Now she is thinking about making some very serious changes to her lifestyle.

I hope you don't mind, but I downloaded this image so I could blow it up in The GIMP, and took a very close look at the details. After I had it in a form where I could see the details, I realized that you had coloured her eyes brown. and that the cigarette is lit. Not from a wisp of smoke, but from the eery red glow buried in the ash.

I have some very mixed feelings about spots of colour in a black & white rendering. Not that I can say that it doing such a thing is sinful, but I find it disquieting. Perhaps that is because I am elderly and set in my ways. Were I to add anything to this piece, it would be a thin wisp of smoke from the burning end of the cigarette. Other than that, it is rock solid--as far as I am concerned.
